The New Playroom

The basement playroom is finally coming together!  I took a few photos this afternoon to show off what we have so far.  It isn't usually this tidy -- give Ari a minute in there and the floor would be littered with toys.  The IKEA Stuva storage unit has plenty of storage for everything to help put everything out of sight.  I also love the minimalist toy storage bags from Tellkiddo.

I love the artwork that pops off the white walls in this area.  The 'Big Red Balloon' has been on my wish list for a long time, and is the perfect poster for this spot!  The make-your-own letter banner and 'Free Spirit' print are fun touches for a playroom.

Ari got this beautiful play tent made by Ashley Gabby Designs for his first birthday.  I knit the bunting banner and just added this gorgeous rug blanket from Roxy Marj, along with a throw pillow from IKEA.  He loves running into his little tent and peeking through the window!

Not pictured, but on the opposite wall from the storage system, is Ari's play kitchen, table and chairs and work bench.  There is so much space for everything now that it is moved into the basement and the room feels bright and fresh.  I hope that this will be a playroom that will grow with our kids over the years.
