Wrapping up June

It's June 30!  School is officially out and summer holidays are here.  It's been a great start to summer over here, and July begins with huge Canada 150 celebrations and Maris' first birthday party!  Lots of exciting things to look forward to this month.  Here's a look back at June...

My sister and her kids came out and the cousins had a lot of fun playing together!

We had a nice heat wave at the beginning of the month...perfect for cooling off at the spray pad and in our backyard wading pool.

We went on a parent and tot field trip to our local fire station this month.  It was a dream come true for Ari!

We spent Father's Day at DogTown with my parents.  This is such a fun, local spot to explore!

We ended the month with a fun day trip to George Lake, where we know someone who has a cabin.  We spent the beautiful afternoon on their pontoon boat and even caught a few fish.  Maris loved being on the water...no surprise.  We stopped for ice cream on both the drive to and from the lake -- fun for everyone!
