A Doll For Maris

I finished another sewing project this weekend.  It's so much fun to work on sweet little projects like this one, a doll for Maris.

I used printed doll fabric, designed by See Kate Sew, from Spoonflower to make this 'Chloe' doll.  Seriously, this was a brilliant idea by the designer.  The doll and multiple accessories (bows, skirts, stuffies) are all printed on one yard of fabric that costs $17.50 USD to order.  A full tutorial for sewing the doll together is available on the See Kate Sew blog.

I love the options of accessories that you can make for the doll!  The sewing skills needed to make this project are beginner level, so I think it would be a super fun project for a young girl who is learning to sew!

So far Maris likes the ice cream cone the best...she keeps trying to eat it!
The fabric for this project can be purchased here (there are also other styles of dolls available) and the sewing tutorial can be found here.  Happy sewing!
