It's hard to believe that February has come and gone! I always find that this month passes by quickly...and then March drags on forever. Here's how we spent our time this month...
One thing that kept us occupied during the month of February was the 28 day indoor garden challenge. I'll be posting the final update on our garden soon!
I've been taking World Cooking Classes once a month all winter. This month we learned about Filipino food; it was the most delicious meal, eaten with our fingers off of banana leaves.
We celebrated Valentine's Day with a family brunch at one of my favourite restaurants in Winnipeg, Clementine Cafe.
Halfway through the month the cold weather broke and it was warm enough to get outside for some fresh air and snow mowing!
It even started to look a lot like spring for a few days...but it was only a tease.
I traded in my small car for a family-sized SUV! Growing from one to two kids suddenly made my car feel TINY! We are loving the space to stretch our legs and ample room for groceries and diapers.
We ended the month with a weekend family stay in Winnipeg at a hotel. Maris got to swim in a pool and ride in the front of the shopping cart for the first time. The highlight of the weekend was a day at The Forks with a few hours playing at the Children's Museum, followed by shopping at the toy store and getting cookies (and coffee for Mom and Dad) at the Johnston Terminal.
And just like that the month flew by!
