After our recent trip to Portland, Oregon, we took the train to Vancouver to visit my sister for a couple of days. It's always fun being in this city and catching up...with my sister and the city! Here are a few shots of what kept us busy...
Any foodie's dream - tasting cheeses, meats, condiments and wine at the Salt Tasting Room in Gastown
The large crowds gathered for the annual Celebration of Light fireworks in English Bay
A great little authentic Dutch restaurant we stumbled upon while looking for breakfast on Cambie Street (perfect to taste before our upcoming trip to Amsterdam!)
A visit to the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens
The amazing market on Granville Island
The city...we rented bikes (on Denman St) one afternoon and explored the sea wall in Stanley Park (loved relaxing at Third Beach) and around the city. Great way to take it all in!
To end it off we had to try a Japadog (seen on Eat St.)!
We always love coming back to Vancouver. There are so many fun neighbourhoods to explore. Thanks to my sister for being a wonderful hostess!
