Seeing

Leaves beginning to turn yellow and  f a l l i n g  from the trees.

Hearing

A lot of crying, unfortunately.  This too shall pass.

Tasting

The last apples from our tree.

Smelling

Lavender vanilla baby wash given to me as a gift.

Touching

The woven palm leaf basket I purchased directly from the Mexican weaver who was visiting our small town to share about the work of Atzin in her village.

New little chicks freshly hatched on my parents' farm

Maris finding her voice...not cries...cooing

Fresh bread and butter pickles that I somehow found time to make with garden cucumbers and onions

Smelling

Fresh cut grass

Touching

Toys, toys, toys.  Someone has a 2nd birthday coming up and Maris and I went shopping to this fun little toy store called The Village Toy Shop

Zoo animals, summer beach fun and incredible destruction around town after another crazy summer storm ripped through...luckily our particular block was spared from the worst of it.

New baby clothes - so, so much fun to shop for a girl!

Soft baby skin and blankets....and my sweaty almost-two-year-old boy.  It's been a HOT week!
