11 Months!

Hard to believe, but this girl is 11 months old today!  We just got back from our second mother/daughter trip out West to visit family, and the flights were perfect both ways.  She really seems to love the change in scenery and having new people to watch!  As fun as it was to get away, though, she was more than ecstatic to see her brother and papa after six days away.  She loves those guys so much.  Maris is getting busier by the day, and I feel we will have our hands very full with her yet!

Some highlights from the last month:

You can: Converse in babble - no real words yet.  You have also discovered that it's great fun to stand up in your high chair and try to crawl onto the table.  Mama gets scared.

You love:  Popcorn twists, French fries and musical toys.

You don't like: Having to sit too long without freedom -- i.e. long car ride into the stroller is a no-no

We'll never forget: You have started to copy one of Ari's 'signature' moves and think it is hilarious. (The move is slapping a hand over the mouth and saying 'oh!'). Ari thinks it's pretty funny too.

You're a treat, Maris.  Also, I am thrilled that next month marks the end of our milestone blanket photos.  They have been very difficult to take the last few months because she does not want to sit still in one spot!  Party planning is officially underway; the first birthday is always exciting!
