We're in full swing for getting our garden ready to put in! Yesterday Ari wanted to go for a car ride, so we headed off to Carman, MB to visit
Vanderveen's Greenhouse. What a treat! This is a HUGE greenhouse that does a lot of commercial growing to supply smaller greenhouses. There were rows and rows full of blooming flowers -- it kind of reminded me of the tulip festival pictures I've been seeing (I'm so sad I'm missing the
Abbotsford festival by a few weeks!). Ari loved running up and down between the rows.
We picked up some gifts for his grandmas for Mother's Day and some other things I needed for this season - potting soil and fertilizer. I will definitely be back in a few weeks to buy more of my plants here! Later in the day Ari helped me load the car with manure and peat moss to add some new layers to our
lasagna garden before we begin planting our seeds. He's so excited about helping!
Cheers to a great growing season!
