April in Review

While this month was a huge tease in weather, it seems as though it is closing with spring finally here to stay, which we are beyond excited about!  The next few weeks will be busy with yard work and getting the gardens in.  The trees are loaded with leaves about to unfurl and my tulips are waiting for the sun to bloom.  Here's a look at how we spent our April...

The kids have been loving spending time outside.  Ari is such a helper - he always wants to be useful!
I finished my master bedroom makeover - I shared before and after pictures here

We visited the duck pond and playground at the St. Vital Park in Winnipeg twice this month on nice days.  It was a nice change from our regular park at home -- and the kids loved having a picnic and watching the ducks and geese!

We have been busy working on creating a new digging spot for Ari - we brought in a load of sand and rocks and have been waiting for nicer weather to landscape it all!  He is so excited.

Easter was so exciting for Ari now that he's old enough to enjoy the surprise of eggs and hunt for them himself in the yard!
My husband's business received the business award for best customer service from our local chamber of commerce this month.  The gala dinner was beautiful and I loved the speaker, David Chilton - former Dragon on Dragon's Den and author of The Wealthy Barber.  Super proud of Peter!
Ari and Maris welcomed a new cousin this month and it was so fun to meet her.  It's hard to believe that my babies were once that small!

We've been busy playing dress up.  I found a ton of girls dress up clothes at our local thrift store for cheap...our closet is stocked now!
Bath times are crazy times with these two.
I enjoyed an evening out without kids and finally did one of those Paint & Sip nights.  We painted Van Gogh's Three Sunflowers and I think it actually looks pretty good!
Maris enjoying the beach, aka our backyard, on a sunny afternoon.  This sand pit is going to get a lot of use this summer!

Looking forward to everything that May will bring!
