Our Favourite Small Business Brands

When Ari was a baby I posted a round-up of my favourite small business kids brands, but I thought I'd make an updated list to highlight some new favourite finds.  What's fun about this one is that it includes things for boys and girls.

Wheat Kids Clothing
A brand based in Vancouver, I discovered Wheat Kids during my most recent visit.  I love the simple, Danish design and that they have clothing for boys and girls.  I recently took advantage of their 'mystery bundle' sale, stocking up on great items for both kiddos.

Miki Miette
I've loved this California-based brand since Ari was a baby.  Not only do they have cute boys clothes (sometimes hard to find!), they also have things for girls!  I love the way they pair colours together in their pieces, making them stand out from other brands.

June and January
Bright, bold colour is the focus of this brand.  I love the lounge shorts and pants for Ari and the swing dresses and ballet tops for Maris.

Jax and Lennon Co.
Ari has been wearing this Vancouver-based brand since he was a baby.  They make super soft bamboo jersey clothing for boys and girls.  Maris has been wearing the long sleeve dress and leggings non-stop.  They even have some tops for women...the short sleeve tunic has been my wardrobe staple for the last few months!

The Sprouted Arrow
An Etsy-based shop, The Sprouted Arrow has cute, simple designs for both boys and girls.  Ari had a few pairs of shorts that will likely fit Maris this summer.

Both shops on Etsy.  Ari was SUPER excited to get these machine leggings from UK shop Maebelle and Bo. We also love the fun screen printed tees from Earth Cadets.

Some of my favourite finds for Maris.  We love moccasins, but, I also love these leather t-strap shoes from Aston Baby.  No secret that Maris has quite the collection of headbands already.  Two of my favourite brands are Simple June and Arrow and Lace Designs.  We also have a few bonnets from Rain People on Vancouver Island, BC.  She uses such pretty fabrics to create these timeless bonnets!
