Sweet Peas

I used to grow sweet peas every year along a fence when I had a tiny garden space shared with roommates at the side-by-side we lived in during my post-secondary years in Winnipeg.  Those years have long passed, and I have never grown sweet peas since!  That is really sad, since they are a beautiful vining flower, and the scent is absolutely breathtaking!

I follow Floret Flower Farm on Instagram, and lately their IG feed has been filled with gorgeous photos of their sweet pea harvest.  I thought I would share a few of the photos, plus some links to their blog posts about growing sweet peas.

The seeds of sweet peas are a little fussy; they need a little extra care to get started.  Floret Flowers shares some great advice in the blog posts for growing great sweet peas, part one and part two.  You can even purchase a guide to growing sweet peas  and sweet pea seeds from the Floret Flowers online shop!

Maybe next spring I will delve into growing sweet peas once again -- they really are a stunning cut flower to add into your arrangements!
