Well, the kitchen garden is planted for another year!
On the one sunny day this May long weekend (as usual!) I got it done.
First my husband put in some grunt work,
mixing in a layer of manure and peat moss to beef up the soil.
Here's a look at what I did with my 10x10 foot space this year...
I always plant cutting flowers in my kitchen garden - cosmos, zinnias and snapdragons make pretty bouquets for the house in summertime - and I don't feel guilty about
cutting them if they're in the veggie garden! The marigolds
border the garden to help keep pests out.
The forecast this week is calling for some rain this week, hopefully that will help settle the plants into their new spots and germinate the lettuce seeds :)
