Okay, so it's been raining for three days non-stop now. Today they are forecasting the rain to turn into snow as the temperature drops. I guess it is safe to say that gardening for the year is done :(
I managed to use the last sunny and somewhat warm day on Sunday to clean up the last of my garden. I pulled out the last of the blooming annuals and cut down my perennials (adding the plant matter to the compost pile). I put away my garden decor, flower containers, and garden furniture so that they will not damage under the snow and dampness. It's always so sad packing it all away for the winter...but, it is only a short time before I begin decorating for the holidays...always a joy!
