I was reminded of the old tire swing my sisters and I had growing up while watching yesterday's episode of CityLine. The show featured porch swings and also a DIY on how to build your own modern tree swing. Those are all beautiful, but how many people didn't grow up with a simple tire hung from a large tree in their yard?

Wonderful memories of our daughter's swinging to and fro, running to the playhouse to change into their next favorite dressup outfit. Then off to the tree house to see if they could entice our pets to come up and try on a new little outfit they had picked out for them. Next off to the shed to dream up some new craft project to sell in their pretend store!
