I went outside this morning to see how things were growing after so much continuous rain. What I noticed right away is that all of our trees now have moss growing on them...
...it's like we're living in a rainforest with the amount of rain we've had. The moss reminded me of a trip we took a couple of summers ago to Olympic National Park in Washington State. The rainforest there was incredibly beautiful. The trees were dripping with moss and there were ferns and clover growing on the forest floor everywhere. And it was so wet and smelled so fresh...

Would you not love to spend an afternoon walking the paths deep into the rainforest? (photos of Gray Wolf River Trail and Maple Glade Trail in ONP)
Some more of my perennials are blooming beautifully right now:
Salvia and Coral Bells
Double Pink Columbine
Happy Weekend!
