Growing Great Zinnias

I LOVE zinnias.  I grow them every year in rows in my vegetable garden just so I can harvest them and enjoy their colour in beautiful bouquets.  I was excited to find this great article from Floret Flower Farms packed full of growing tips.

One thing I didn't know about growing zinnias is that you should be cutting off the center flower once the plant reaches 18 inches tall.  This is called 'pinching' and encourages a bushier plant with more stems and flowers!  I will definitely be trying out this tip later in the summer.
