I had a wonderful Christmas! Sooo many beautiful new things...including lots of goodies for my garden next year! My mom remembered my wish list I put out in July and I found a bright red water wand, sprinkler, and matching coil hose under the tree this year. I can not wait to use them to reach my window boxes and hanging planters with ease next year! I also got some new gardening gloves, a beautiful handmade metal garden ornament, and gift certificates to use at the local greenhouses in the Spring.

I also got this book from my mom and a Canadian Gardening subscription from my husband. I'm looking forward to reading up on new ideas and tips to make my garden better in the next seasons! Lasagna gardening is an organic gardening method that gets its name from the different layers of organic material you use to make your planting medium. My mom and dad made two lasagna gardens this past fall, so I'll find out what kind of a difference it makes compared to general soil.
