Fresh Apple Juice

We've been enjoying our fresh, pure apple juice so much!

We had our apples from our backyard tree pressed last week. We ended up bringing away nine boxes of apples, a lot more than we picked last year.

The apples are pressed just as they are; no added sugar or preservatives are put into the juice. The pure taste is unbelievable! As you can see from the picture the juice is a lot more dark than apple juice you would buy from the grocery store, but the taste is so much more flavourful. As there are no preservatives we keep the juice in our freezer and defrost one jug at a time.

We ended up getting 39 two litre jugs (yes--78 litres of juice total). Our freezer is packed with juice...perfect for the long winter ahead!
