Cappuccino Anyone?

I went outside this morning to find my Asiatic 'Cappuccino' Lily blooming. Perfect addition to my bookcase montage.

Also--check out this article, Petal to the Mettle, from the Winnipeg Free Press that sums up a bunch of research findings about how gardening is good for the body and the soul. Horticulture therapy is becoming more and more popular, in which patients are involved in the growing and caring for seeds and plants. The act of nurturance and pleasure in seeing rewards for this care have been shown to provide improvement in physically and mentally handicapped patients' rehabilitation, as many of their root issues stem from a lack of nurturance in their own lives. I agree whole heartedly that the act of gardening is good for well being...even weeding elevates my mood!
