Bike Ride

I went on an evening bike ride around town yesterday after the rain clouds moved away and the sun came back out. It was so amazingly nice out after a blah day...and after all, it was the first day of SUMMER yesterday...I just had to do something worthy enough to call a celebration.

Peony....I can't wait for my peony bushes to mature. It will be a couple of years before I get blooms like this one:


I just love peonies. They remind me now of my beautiful wedding bouquet. Their frothiness of petals and associations with gardens past just speak summer to me.
