We came home from our camping vacation this weekend. After loads of laundry and unpacking I've finally got some photos ready to share!
We drove down to Colorado for a family reunion and decided to stay a bit longer and camp. It was a two day drive, but we went through the Black Hills in South Dakota, which gave for some beautiful scenery on the way.
After the reunion (which was at a Bible camp) we discovered a little town nestled in the Rocky Mountains called Crested Butte, where we decided to camp for a couple of nights. The town was sooo charming - full of shops, restaurants and colour. This is the town that can boast that it invented mountain biking (which is right up my husband's alley) AND that it is the wildflower capitol of Colorado (which is right up my alley!).
The shop-lined main street
Wildflower filled meadows along the many hiking and biking trails in the area
Our stay was so beautiful that we were sad to have to leave so soon.
We're already planning a longer visit to Crested Butte in the near future!
